The Status of Fatherhood

“Girls are doing three and a half times more than their brothers of the hands-on care work – we make this normal from early childhood on. We’ve got to break that cycle from early on. Workplaces that value a really strong policy, placed in one central care policy and then doing the lifting it requires to do the narrative shift, and to make this normal. Stop applauding us when we change the nappy and say, I expect you to change a nappy. This just needs to be normal stuff that we expect of all human beings, that we know how to care.”
