A Champion’s Mindset

“One simple action is to start off with, ‘My name is Lesley Sackey. I’m a champion because…’ That’s a good place to start in terms of connecting with your strength, and that builds your foundation in terms of how you deal with other people, how you see yourself and how you complete tasks. That’s where we really need to start, being able to communicate as champions and see yourselves as champions, way before you’ve won anything. I was considering myself as a champion long before I’d won anything and that was because I’d connected with my strength and saw what I was good at in the training process as opposed to the fight.”
